Project Dashboard¶
The Project Dashboard gives you a bird's-eye view of all your projects — overall counts, budget health, task progress, and which projects need attention.
Open it from Projects > Dashboard.
Summary cards¶
A row of summary cards sits at the top of the dashboard:
- Total Projects — The total number of projects in your organization.
- Active Projects — Projects currently in the Active status.
- At Risk / Over Budget — The number of active or on-hold projects whose health is At Risk, Delayed, or Over Budget. A smaller line below it shows how many projects have raised a cost alert (spending is outpacing progress beyond the configured threshold).
- Budget Utilization — Total spent across all projects as a percentage of the total
estimated budget. Anything above 100% is flagged Over Budget; very high values are
shown as
200%+.
Pending approvals
When you have items waiting for your approval, a red Pending Approvals card appears in this row (taking the place of the Budget Utilization card). Click it to jump straight to the Approvals queue.
Cost visibility
Budget figures (Budget Utilization, the Budget Overview chart, Total Estimated Budget,
and Total Spent) only appear if your role has cost visibility for projects. Without it,
these values show as -.
Charts¶
Budget Overview¶
A bar chart comparing estimated vs actual budget for the top projects by budget size. Each project shows two bars — estimated (blue) and actual (green).
Project Status¶
A donut chart showing the distribution of projects across their statuses (using your organization's configured project statuses).
Project Health¶
A donut chart showing the health of active and on-hold projects. Health falls into four categories:
- On Track (green) — Progressing as expected.
- At Risk (amber) — Showing early warning signs and may slip.
- Delayed (red) — Behind schedule.
- Over Budget (purple) — Spending has exceeded the planned budget.
Task Overview¶
A summary of every task across all your projects, grouped by status:
- Completed — Tasks that are finished.
- In Progress — Tasks currently being worked on.
- To Do — Pending tasks not yet started.
- Blocked — Tasks that need attention before they can continue.
An Overall Completion bar shows the percentage of tasks completed across all projects.
Projects Needing Attention¶
This section lists projects that need a closer look. A project appears here when any of the following is true:
- Its health is At Risk, Delayed, or Over Budget.
- It has used 90% or more of its budget.
- It has cost monitoring enabled (and raises a cost alert when spending outpaces progress beyond the threshold).
For each listed project you'll see:
- The project name and project number.
- A Cost Alert badge when cost monitoring has flagged it.
- Budget used — the percentage of budget consumed (shown in red above 90%).
- Budget variance — how far spending is ahead of progress, shown when a cost alert is active.
- Days remaining — days left until the end date (shown in red when 7 or fewer).
- A health badge (At Risk / Delayed / Over Budget).
Up to 10 projects are shown. If everything is healthy, you'll see an "All projects are on track!" message instead.
Use View All Projects in this section's header to open the full project list.
Budget summary¶
Three cards at the bottom summarize budget across all projects:
- Total Estimated Budget — The combined estimated budget of all projects.
- Total Spent — The combined actual spend to date.
- Completed Projects — The number of projects in the Completed status.
(Total Estimated Budget and Total Spent respect cost visibility — see the note above.)
Filters¶
Zone¶
When zones are enabled for your organization, a Zone filter appears at the top of the dashboard. Pick a zone to scope every card, chart, and list on the dashboard to projects in that zone, or choose All Zones to clear it. The selected zone is kept in the page URL, so the view is preserved if you refresh or share the link.
