Materials List¶
Manage all materials in your inventory.
Material List¶
View materials with:
- Material name and code
- Category
- Current stock quantity
- Unit of measurement
- Reorder level
Adding a Material¶
- Go to Inventory > Materials List
- Click + New Material
- Enter material details (name, code, category, unit, reorder level)
- Click Create
Pricing fields (used in quotations)¶
When you create or edit a material, two pricing fields work together with the quotation form:
- Unit Cost — what you pay the supplier. Used for stock valuation and margin reports.
- Selling Price — the default price used when this item is added to a quotation. If left blank, the catalog picker on a quote falls back to the unit cost.
Keeping them separate lets you report margin per item later. Don't quote at cost unless that's intentional.
Item image¶
Upload an image for the material from the Item Image card on the create/edit form. Once attached, the image appears:
- In the inventory list and detail page
- In the catalog picker on quotation line items
- Next to the line description on the quotation form (when Show item images is enabled — see the Display Options section of the quotation guide)
